Central Floral Supplies, a trading name of Cork Floral Supplies Ltd, started its wholesale trade in 1973 and has been family run since inception. The company began trading in flowers grown from glasshouses in Bishopstown in the suburbs of Cork City in the early 70's. After early growth in the business, premises were bought in Cork City centre on Lavitt's Quay for easier access for customers and the company also began to import flowers from the Netherlands. Central Floral Supplies quickly outgrew its base at Lavitt's quay and moved around the corner to Cornmarket Street. The company remained at the 'Coal Quay' until January 2007 when the decision was made to move to the outskirts of Cork City to Ballycurreen Industrial Estate to an 8500sq ft modern warehouse. Heavy investment in recent years in technology has ensured that Central Floral Supplies can now offer an internet ordering system for fresh cut flowers for its customers and sundry items. The company aims to further improve on these services in the coming months and enhance the experience for all CFS customers.
