LISIANTHUS PRODUCT DAY

Last week at Keukenhof Holland, Lisianthus partners across the Netherlands held a product day to inform about their wonderful product and how it was grown for the past 5 years.

LISIANTHUS FLOWER

The Lisianthus flower can also be known as Eustoma. Lisianthus are found growing in warm regions of the United States, Mexico, Caribbean and in the north of South America.  The Lisianthus symbolises gratitude. The Lisianthus is a very versatile flower and comes in white, green, blue,, pink, lilac, purple and salmon. Some flowers have petals with multiple colours! The petals of the Lisianthus are very soft and delicate so always remember to handle with care

PRODUCT DAY

Bart Siemerink, Director at Keukenhof welcomed everyone th their product day and explained more about Keukenhof, their mision and why they are so important to the Floral Industry. After this, Jens Baan of Koppert Cress spoke about their marketing story and the hurdles they had to take before they becams such a famous Dutch family company. The idea behind this day ws to promote the Lisianthus even more. The Lisianthus has grown immensely over the past 5 years and is currently the 6th biggest flower product group within Royal FloraHolland. The double varieties are extremely popular. On the day the prize of best Lisianthus was given to 'van der Lugt Lisianthus'.
