High Fashion Orchid & Anthurium Show

HIGH FASHION ORCHID AND ANTHURIUM SHOW

In Keukenhof, Europes biggest Orchid and Anthurium show was unveiled on Thursday the 5th of April. Dutch fashion designer Ronald Kolk teamed up with the highly skilled florist Dries Lecke, both have worked together for many years. Kolk designed the haute-couture collection for the show and Lecke used beautiful bright flowers to complement these incredible outfits.

FLORAL COUTURE WITH THE ANTHURIUM

Kolk's designs this year were inspired by the Orchid but he said that he thoroughly enjoyed working with the Anthurium. The colour red was used as the foundation for this presentation as red represents life, power, passion and romance. Red gowns and flowers as well as a lot of love and passion made this a very inspiring show. Although Kolk and Lecke started working on this display in January they admitted that they did not have it ready until an hour before opening. ROMANCE AND ORCHIDS

Romance was this years theme and could be seen in abundance in the floral displays. Big hearts, romantic nooks and lot of beautiful Orchids. Lecke used more than 5000 cut flowers and plants in his amazing designs. The little details of these designs is absolutely breathtaking. It has been an incredible show of flowers and fashion and how they can combine to make some real beauty.
